AhlulBayt News Agency - The departure of the Syrian Army Forces from the east Homs countryside has given the ISIS militants little relief on the ground, thanks in large part to the Syrian and Russian air forces that have intensified their attacks against the terrorist group.
On Friday night, Syrian and Russian fighter jets pulverized the so-called Islamic State’s positions in east Homs, targeting the villages of Rahoum and Abu Hawadid near the Al-Sha’ar Mountains.
According to a source at the T-4 Military Airport, the Syrian and Russian air forces carried out at least 30 airstrikes in the east Homs countryside on Friday.
These airstrikes caused significant damage to the ISIS’s defenses, forcing them to avoid carrying out their usual night assault against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in east Homs.
In addition to the damage, the Syrian and Russian airstrikes also killed a large number of ISIS terrorists in the Syrian Desert, including several members of an all Indian battalion.
